One of the things we love most about traveling is being able to pick up treasures we can’t find at home. A stay at Magic Blue Boutique Hotel in Playa del Carmen, for example, puts visitors steps from stalls touting Mexican handicrafts, colorful textiles and one-of-a-kind jewels. Well, thanks to L-atitude—a site that sells chic clothing, jewelry and home décor from countries around the world—you won’t need a passport to don international duds. Here a few of L-atitude’s made-in-Mexico pieces we’ve got our eyes on:

A Secret River That Begs to be Shared

When one thinks of vacationing in Mexico, images of piña coladas and spring breakers often come to mind. And though it is a popular party spot (and we’re certainly not opposed to a well-mixed margarita), there’s another side to Mexico. A perfectly peaceful, naturally beautiful side.

One such spot that caught our eye is Rio Secreto in sunny Playa del Carmen. Close to popular (and swoon-worthy) resorts including Azul Fives Hotel by Karisma, Rio Secreto consists of over 7 miles of underground caverns and river systems. The ancient, pristine passageways also boast some of the most dramatic mineral formations in the world. Breathtaking beauty you’ll remember forever or a pesky hangover? We’ll take the former.

The “Ruff’” Life in Playa del Carmen

Man’s best friend also happens to be our best friend, which is why we love it when a hotel (much like the Hacienda Paradise Boutique Hotel) welcomes pooches with open paws, err, arms.

This particular hotel features pet-friendly rooms, which come equipped with a doggy bed, blankets, leash, toys, treats, water and food bowls. You pup can also play while you’re away with pet sitting services available through its Dog Holiday program. And the hotel’s spa offers the perfect reward for your pampered pooch with its Canis Pet Massage. A dog’s life just got so much better.
